U dont. Prenatal vitamins contain folic acid and vit D and u suppose to take them whole pregnancy

Still taking them 2 months postpartum 🥲

My nurse told me to stop taking folic acid at 12 weeks when babies spine and most things have been made x

But vitamin D u take till end for you and baby bone development

I took it all the way from my first pregnancy to my second 😂 my prenatals have folic acid I continued them while breastfeeding and I’ve taken vitamin d for years due to deficiency

Technically after the first trimester you can stop folic but a lot of OBGYN recommended you just take it until you hit menopause 🤷 there's no harm in it unless you can't keep it down.
Vitamin d (plus any extra vitamins) should really be taken until term and beyond as you yourself will need them as your baby will take as much from you as they possibly can and lead to deficiencies

a friend of mine said she stopped taking folic acid at 20 weeks and that she just takes vitamin D now.

I’ve not been told to stop yet, got an appointment for Monday would ask my midwife

alright then . Thanks 🙏

🤣🤣

I just said it cuz the nurse that prescribed me with 5mg folic acid tablets cuz I'm high risk type 1 diabetic said that I should stop taking when I reach 12 weeks x ☺️

Stopped taking multivitamin @12 weeks and have been taking vitamin D this whole pregnancy as advised by my midwife

Safe to stop taking folic acid from 12 weeks as advised by my midwife. Only supposed to take Vitamin D between Sept-March x

I stopped folic acid around 3 months pregnant. Never took vit D
Not really necessary after that with a healthy diet

I stopped taking folic acid at 14 weeks due to an allergic reaction. No harm in taking it the whole way through pregnancy.

oooh I get

good 👍 for you. 🙌🏼

thanks 🙏
