Baby is 8 weeks saturday and has her jabs booked for Friday, shes caught our cold and i was led to believe her 6 week check would be at 6 weeks and wanted to use the appointment to discuss vaccinations and schedules and other concerns from her being hospitalised recently but weve been booked in just to see a nurse to get vaccinations and the check.
Im worried babys illness could mask reactions/temps and that it means i have no time to prediscuss or someone who can actually guide on our hospitalisation and the steps forward as weve had no support since and have been waiting for this gp appointment for weeks to get some. Would i be unreasonable to ask for a seperate gp appointment first even tho this means theyll be delayed slightly by a week so at 8 weeks 4-5 days?

My little one's jabs were delayed almost a week (so he was 9 weeks when he had the first lot) due to him being 8 weeks over Xmas/New year's so was no appointments so I don't think this will matter if they are delayed. As far as I know they will only not do the jabs if little one has a temperature, so if a cold with no temp they may still do them. If not happy can ask to wait, maybe ring surgery, tell them she's due her jabs but been unwell and want to speak to dr or nurse to check it's still ok (if they can't then maybe just go to her appt anyway and ask them before she gets jabs and if they or you are not happy you can just say you want to make an appt at a later date?)
