So just had my first appointment after finding out im having twins and the doctor said that Baby B has fluid around the neck indicating possible down syndrome. But im also reading that alot of women get this observation this early(Im 10W3D) and everything turns out fine and the fluid resolves ont its own. I get my lab work back next week but just wanted to see if any other ladies are currently going through this or have previously. The doctor didnt help much she gave me more worse case scenarios and then proceeded to say "well miracles do happen" š

I would wait until the blood results come back before you (potentially) panic. The full picture is going to be much more accurate than just the scan. Ultrasounds can be finicky because babyās position is a variable.
Also, 10 weeks is a bit early to do an NT scan is it not? My doctor suggested waiting until 11-13wks because at 10 weeks baby is just barely out of the embryo stage. So that can affect accuracy as well.
But hopefully your blood test gives you a more clear answer! š Trisomy 21 can be a challenge, but they are still wonderful, amazing people!

my doctor said anything before 13 weeks for NT scan wouldnāt be accurate. Maybe get a second opinion?

Yeah but hopefully this is all just one obstacle on the way to a healthy babe! ā„ļø

Iām having twins two Iām 13w I would wait until your results come back, because anytime you have twins your doctors always gonna make it seem like any and everything could be wrong. Theyāre just gonna do the most so just wait until your results. Come back and breathe. Everythingās gonna be fine.

Thank you all, this thread made me feel better. I did research abd read on other forums that a lot of moms are told this and then it turns out to be nothing. So just gonna keep positive
