My almost 10 month old son exclusively breastfed has now started biting while nursing. We are doing baby led weaning and he now eats pretty much everything we eat but still also nurses. But now he has started biting while nursing to the point where I'm bleeding and it's extremely painful to nurse him. I don't think I'm ready to cut out breast milk completely but not sure if I should switch to exclusively pumping for him or wean him off breast milk/nursing all together? I do pump for outings and he takes a bottle fine just wasn't my preferred method..wondering your ladies thoughts or tricks to keep him from biting me :( he is teething and has all the teething toys too but seems like he thinks it's game when he does it as he knows I react😣

I feel your pain! My girl only bites when new tooth is popping out, could that be it?
First time it was very painful and I was sore for days, but I've learnt to see when she's about to bite - usually at the end of a session, she gets playful, unlatches and gums down. If I see that behaviour, I stop nursing and cover myself. If she bites, I say no, it hurt mummy and cover. She usually goes for the boob, but nothing is there, I let her get a little annoyed and then divert attention. 10-15min later offer again. She usually bites for one day when the tooth is coming, so I'm extra vigilant that day.....
They 100% see it as a game and don't understand it hurts us. Apparently it's also very soothing for them if their gums gurt
