My son is almost 15 months old and still isn't talking. He babbles a lot and tries to copy words. Anybody else in the same boat?

Yup! There is very few things I can recognise from his babbles but he makes lots of noises and understands things, like getting a book/ball/toy/socks so I'm not worrying. He goes to nursery and they haven't mentioned a concern at all. They are still very young x

My daughter doesn’t really say anything coherent. I can make out a few things. She says dada and mumma and she’ll say babababa when she’s sad. I really don’t think there is anything to worry about, they’re still so so young. There are children a little older than my daughter at her nursery and they aren’t speaking coherently so I wouldn’t worry

Mines not fully talking either! Says mama dada baba etc and can recognise and copy animal sounds (cow, sheep, duck) but no proper words or anything yet! X

My son says “mumma” but it’s not used in context. The only thing he actually says and understands is “bye bye” and he waves with it 😂 but that’s all. I used to work in childcare in the 1-2 room specifically, I always had so many parents question if their child was delayed due to speech. Every time I’d say, just you wait! And almost always, once they hit around 18m they don’t stop talking 😂. But as a parent now, I completely understand their worry’s! It’s so hard once you’re in that position not to worry about it. It will happen and when it does, it will happen fast 😂 it starts with a few words and within weeks it’s non stop lol

My boy don't talk at all, he babbles and with the facial expressions he makes I do believe he thinks he is saying something 😂 but if I will tell him let's put your socks on he will give me his foot or try to out his socks on so I guess he understands so we getting somehwere i guess 🤷♀️
