Those who have tried dairy free

What did/do you eat? I’m trialling dairy free at the moment and pleasantly surprised that I’m finding it fairly straightforward. The only hard part is finding suitable snacks but I’m getting there with that. Avoiding the temptation of cheese is much harder though! I’m also soya-free to reduce potential reactions to that. So far I’ve discovered that a lot of our meals are dairy free anyway and made the following adjustments: Homemade bread only using oil not butter Montezumas do 3 different chocolate bars which are suitable Coconut yoghurt Oat milk for cereal

I found Nomo chocolate the best of the vegan chocolates that I tried, if you like hot chocolate knoops do some nice oat chocolate flakes. M&S do a nice vegan pizza, was pleasantly surprised by it!

@Helen another vote for Nomo! Cookie dough is amazing

I’m still new at this but some adjustments i made so far was primal kitchen Alfredo (tried it last night looks weird but actually not bad), i like viola cream cheese for my bagels and just tried daiya cheese

So I made me own garlic breads with olive spread, garlic and vegan cheese, and made our own pizzas, I’m surprised by things like flat breads and wraps not having milk in. Asda do a free from range, I have managed to find some crisps , a lot of plain tortilla chips don’t contain milk! I got myself some chocolate brownies and custard creams from the free from range. I fancied pizza for tea tonight, I went to aldi and got a plant based vegetarian pizza and have bought some pepperoni to add on top. I’m not keen on the milks I must add, so have been adding a vanilla creamer to my coffee or vegan hot choc, from the skinny barista range as that’s dairy free and is lovely and sweet ! I noticed most of our meals were dairy free anyways, there is the dairy free mum on Instagram who I have followed for Weaning and family recipes when it comes to little one weaning aswell x

Hip oat chocolate is good and soya free too they sell it at Sainsbury’s, if you really want cheese the violife range is good they are soya free too, also M&S do dairy and soya free chocolate buttons, Lindt 70% chocolate, the oatly oatgurt is a good alternative to yoghurt and white rabbit vegan pizzas are nice, I’m finding the soya free bit the hardest it’s literally in everything lol! x
