Has anyone tried to take collagen supplements during pregnancy? I’ve read it’s safe and good for skin and joints, and can be good against stretch marks (even tho I know it’s mostly genetics). What are your opinions? I’m tempted to to try!

Yes! I started taking 2 weeks ago to guard against stretch marks (along with using a thick lotion). So far, so good!!

I have it every day in my morning tea. No stretch marks so far (currently 30 weeks pregnant, so this can still change of course). I also oil my body with coconut oil everyday after my shower. So hard to say which of the two is the deciding factor. But so far so good! 🥰

I was told it’s safe to use, just make sure it’s a good quality pure collagen. I used it all throughout my second pregnancy for the same reasons. For me it did nothing to guard against stretch marks, however they have faded fast since having my baby. I did find it an easy way to get more protein though

Which one are you guys using?

Thank you girls!! The protein boost that it gives is also one of the reason I’m considering taking it. I’ll still oil up everyday but if it has others benefits as well I think I might as well give it a try!

can you tell me which one you’d be buying please :)

I will! ☺️ I’ll have to research it a little bit first

I used Vital Proteins collagen daily throughout my pregnancy and still now postpartum. I take it for the protein and energy boost. I asked my doctor about it early in my pregnancy and she said it was fine.

I have a good quality collagen protein powder I use in my smoothie most days. Made such a difference with pregnancy tiredness and it’s probably unrelated but I had no stretch marks! ❤️

can you tell me the name of it please.

I use the dose and co vanilla collagen protein powder! They also do a collagen coffee creamer 😊

yeah that’s the one 😊
