Unfortunately my baby is still breech at 37 weeks 😪 it’s more than likely going to lead to a csection. What can I expect? I want some honest advice and reviews on how it went for those who have had one. It will be my first one. What do I need to recover?

So I’m almost 4 days postpartum from my 2nd C-section and I’d definitely tell ya to stay up on your meds, if you need help ask someone it is rough the first few days. Use a pillow when you leave the house so in the car you can use a pillow against your incision

i’m 3 weeks pp after an emergency c section and i agree with courtney about the medication, just take it easy and definitely don’t do any heavy lifting, take care of your wound area by letting it air dry after showers don’t let it get wet or stay covered for too long, just take it slow and you’ll be fine, good luck!!!

So I guess my c-section is a story different than most; I was pumped with so much medication while in my forced induction period, that after my c-section, I was able to operate on a 800mg Tylenol pill; with that I was able to get up out of bed and walk around on my own a few hours after the operation, I just took it carefully; also a few hrs after the operation, my body was already healing the incision; my doctor ended up telling me if they could have sent me home on the first night, they would but protocol is 48 hrs; so every mama is different; but there’s a few ways that your experience could go; just take it easy and be as patient with yourself as possible; bc it’s such a major surgery, your body is gonna go through a lot of change, so if you’re not able to move or do stuff like before, remember to be patient with yourself, you’ll do great !

Every c section is so different! Had an emergency c under general anesthesia and had very little pain after. Like I was only ever on Tylenol when I woke up. (They kept waiting to give me other meds because the pharmacy was backed up and were going to give me something stronger but I was fine with just Tylenol).
I had a pretty easy recovery and overall the pain was manageable! I know many women had a different experience but it just totally depends!
I will be having my second c section in August.

I had a C-section 6 weeks ago due to baby being breech. This is my first baby so I didn’t know what to expect.
When they went to pull my baby out the tugging hurt so bad I started to feel really sick. I had to tell them I felt nauseous and they pumped two Doses of medicine in the IV. The nurses were amazing. The spinal burned for like 5 seconds when it went in and after that they lay you straight down to where your chest feels like something is laying on top of it because of the pressure.
STAY ON TOP OF YOUR PAIN MEDICINE. That was the thing I didn’t do. And try to walk as soon as they tell you that you can do so. I was up and walking the same day as the c section.
I had bought a Frida mom c section recovery band that I wore at home which helped.

Thank you all so much!

Anything I can pack or buy to care for my incision better?

thank you!!!

You have options!!!

Just a recovery tip I got from the doctor who did my surgery, buy the biggest granny panties you can find and stick a pad on the inside across the front. It pads the incision from accidental bumps and works like a bandage.
