Have any of you gotten married in a courthouse? Do you regret it or do you love that you did it? I just purchased my wedding dress but I’m not engaged yet however we have been talking about it a lot and agreed to do a courthouse wedding. I have so many reasons but the number one would be I want it to be our day I don’t see the need to spend thousands just for people to critique every little thing on MY day. Idk though what are your thoughts?

I did a courthouse wedding. My husband is also military so that’s not a surprise and it wasn’t fully planned at all. We decided on a Wednesday to go down to the courthouse on Fridays when they do walk-ins and get married. 😂 we loved it though and it just really sums up our whole relationship and we weren’t gonna do anything at all other than the courthouse wedding but my mom actually threw us like a little reception and stuff at her house and got me flowers and it was really nice, because I completely forgot that typically the bride has flowers 😂😂😂 my mother-in-law also took off work so she could drive from Arizona to the wedding! I loved my wedding and I love telling people about it even though my husband and I had only known each other for three months at the time 🤣

I got married at home! Forced by Covid! I still wished I had MY day and maybe one day we will! Something small with selected friends and family! If you really want this. Do it! Keep it small and selected but do it!

We used an elopement service. It was a little more formal than a courthouse and we exchanged vows and all of that. I have no regrets at all. We figured that if we want to have a whole big thing later on, that's always an option 🤷♀️
There is a lot of in-between though. It doesn't have to be either a courthouse or a big ceremony

I did with my husband on Valentine’s Day last year. Of course I wish I’d have gotten the whole wedding experience but it in of itself is worth it if it’s up ur alley. The judge was super nice and it took away all the anxiety of standing around tons of people

I got married in court house and then had a walk on beach wedding( literally walked on beach with family) 💒 we went on a very high cruise for honeymoon. I would rather spend money on us and not a wedding for others. We ve been married 18 yrs this October.

My husband and I got married at our university with his friend who is an ordained minister. It was the best $86 ever spent. We have friends who took out loans for $10k-$30k weddings. 2 of the couples have divorced since then and are still paying on their weddings 🫠🫠. I toldmy husband that I don't want a ring or wedding but I want a house. So he got me a house last year😂❤️🥹.

I did! I wish we would’ve done a mini elopement situation. I feel like it was nice, but it wasn’t fulfilling in terms of a marriage celebration. We went to the courthouse and then out for lunch. We told our families afterwards 😂 we’re planning to do a house warming/celebration/family party when we move! All of our family is out of state and weddings are SO expensive
