It should be tap water and filter should reduce bacteria - this is not normal water filter - it is antibacterial too

From reviews I’ve read about having issues with water temp and if the water it does is truly ‘sterile’ I’d personally boil and then let it more or less cook it down for you. I’ve read a couple reviews online about it sometimes not reaching the correct boiling point for the water to be truly ‘sterile’, however I’d say completely up to you and how comfortable you are, I don’t use it just thought to let you know what I’ve read x

I always just use cold tap water since the hot shot should kill off the bacteria, but I have also heard of some machines not reaching a high enough temp to do so. It should be fairly obvious if your machine isn't heating properly so I wouldn't worry about it too much, as long as you replace the filter and give it a good clean as needed it should be fine x

The machine instructions specifically state not to use boiling water (only boiling water to run the cleaning cycle).

And anyway, you are not going to want to be removing the old water, boil a kettle and add it to the machine every time you want to make a bottle 😅😅😅

I use water that’s been boiled in the kettle and left to cool as it makes it more sterile when being put in the machine x

the water needs to be at least 70 degrees not to be sterile but to kill bacteria in formula powder - to overcome
This issue - you might first put powder in and keep close to a water spout and then and press the hot water shot - I tested myself with a food thermometer and it is over 70C

as I said, don’t use/have one myself. Just stating what I’ve read online :))

We just use cold tap water. Don't overthink it.

I use bottled water only beacuse we drink bottled water too so i just add it to the machine
