I’m nearly 5 weeks pp and tbh I’m ready to get back in the gym ! , I know your to normally wait 6-8 weeks . But I’m curious when people started working out again and , what workouts worked for targeting the mum Tum
Really want to try tighten the loose skin 😓🥹

I tried 3 months pp and found my core felt very weak and I actually hurt myself a few times. Pulling on my scar.
Make sure you understand that you may feel ok but your body is still full of relaxant and balance etc after pregnancy is completely different

I started at 6 weeks doing yoga and then running at 8 weeks but my scar is different to yours. Mine was really really low, yours looks more on your knicker line where you bend.
I would refrain from core exercises for a few more weeks x

Ah girl you are honestly more likely to hurt yourself and set recovery back if you do too much. Start with things like walking and yoga at 6-8weeks and then I think for proper exercise its recommended 12weeks. I started too early because i felt great and it definitely set me back. I spoke to a post natal PT specialist and she was very strict about 12weeks and talked about things like hernias etc if you start to early.
And your belly looks fab!

Hey I'm at 24 weeks tomorrow. You just had a baby! Your body did an amazing thing, please be easy on yourself. For the loose skin was the same for me. Moisturise moisturise moisturise and also drink more than 2 litres water per day. Rest and brisk walks are important now.
I'll post my physio plan I started at 6 weeks and then the update at 10 weeks. Now at 24 weeks I can do most ashtanga yoga poses including boat pose so made a ton of progress between weeks 14 and 24, I feel especially after 20 weeks. At 10 weeks started with 20 squats per day now doing 80 and with a 4kg weight and the physio goal is for me to use the baby as weight for squats but he is 9kg so need to gradually work towards that.
Please start slow with just belly breathing and raising knees up and down from reclined butterfly and work up gradually.
Most important you need to engage pelvic Floor and transverse abdominal before doing any exercise movement or you could risk a diastasis recti

I got back in the gym about 1 month pp but I also worked out a good bit of my pregnancy and stayed active. I started with just 30-45 min on the treadmill. Slowly upping speed or incline. I was told to not be strenuous on the core until 6 months pp. so you can work your core but do it slowly and carefully.

Im 5 weeks post C section, wanting to start workout but feels the scar, my problem is I eat alot as I'm exclusively breastfeeding and feeling anxious that I may get fat.

as long as you’re making good choices and not eating junk you’ll be good ! Breast feeding burns some calories as it is ! If you add in some walks you’ll see a difference as well

I’m 20wks post c section. I was way too weak to try exercise or even engaging my core much for ages. I did short walks with baby. I started to feel more normal at about 16 wks. I noticed a big difference this wk and have started doing more. Take it really easy on your body, give it a lot of grace and patience. It’s done a huge job for you and baby. Loads of great advice from the other women above ☝️

I’m 20 wks after CS and still breast feeding. I eat a TON 🙈 and did loads of sitting on the sofa. Somehow I’m 10lbs below pre pregnancy weight. BF is amazing 🤷♀️.

I did deep core work from 6 weeks at home and I noticed it helped pull my belly up, I then started doing bodyweight exercises at home from 7 weeks and I just went back to the gym this week at 9 weeks pp x
