Nursery

Mine went at 3 months and settled in really quickly - too early for the clingy/needing Mummy stage perhaps. I went in for the morning last week and could see how much he loves it, he has access to much more there than I can do at home and it is good for him to socialise with other children/see how they move and interact.
Does she only get one settling session? We had three - I had to stay for the first one (an hour) and then he was left for 90 minutes and 2 hours later that same week. You could ask perhaps if you prefer a more gentle introduction :)

Hey ladies thanks for your responses it's so reassuring. I'm so nervous it's unreal if she cries when I leave my heart will just break! Yeah I'm going to ask for a gentle introduction as maybe 1 hour on the first visit may be a little too overwhelming for the both of us 😂 xx

Mine LO hasn't started yet but he does at the end of May, his nursery does 3 settling in sessions 1 with me, then 1 hour on his own, then 3 hours on his own xx

I work in a nursery and will be returning to work in 3 weeks myself and my little girl is coming with me -and I’m so anxious too from a parents point of view makes me wanna cry🤣 however from a nursery nurse point of view I can hope this offers you some comfort- honestly when we get a new child in our setting it’s so exciting to learn all about the new child and learn their personalities and build a bond! And trust me when get so attached to your babies too (in a good way haha) like we get sad when they have to move rooms etc we honestly build such a bond with them! So I hope this gives you a little bit of comfort in sending your little one! 🩷

My little girl has been in nursery for around 4 weeks now she loves it and has come on so much aswell during this short period

Thanks so much ❤️❤️ I'm dreading it but I think it will do her the world of good, she loves other kids! You hear horror stories and I imagine her crying for me and I'm heart broken. Wish me luck!
