I was wondering when you are supposed to start feeding baby other than breast milk. My pediatrician said 4 months but then I see so many people saying 6 months. But like she’s my pediatrician so I want to follow what she says but i just want to make sure.

4 months is outdated advice. It's now recommended to wean at 6 months.

Minimum age is 17 weeks, but physical readiness is more important than age. Check out SolidStarts for lots of great weaning info, including what readiness looks like (and doesn't)

There are some instances where it is recommended to start food earlier. It's often recommended in the UK for reflux so there may be a specific reason that your paediatrician had recommended 4 months. Also different areas, countriees etc have different guidelines. Starting at 4 months is deemed safe but not necessary unless directed by a medical professional. I'd have a chat with them to find out if there is a specific reason and if you can choose to wait u till 6 months if you want
