Cloth diapers ?

Hey! So I just started using cloth diapers (just at home). If anyone else uses them, how do you wash the poop out ? 🥴 what do you use to clean them? Any tips would be helpful 🫶🏼

My parents attached a hose to their toilet to spray them. Before that, they just did their best to dump them in the toilet before run in them through the washer.

Hey! It depends on if the baby is breastfeeding or not. Breastfeeding poop is water soluble so we just put it in the washing machine after separating the inner and outer. We used seventh generation for a while and now I’m using diaper detergent called Rockin Green. If there are any stains, I’ll lay them out in the sun but I haven’t had to do that yet. The main thing that would stain is any diaper cream that’s not cloth diaper friendly. I looked up a list of ones that wouldn’t stain. We use the dekor diaper pail that had compatible washable liners and wash diapers everyday when it fills up. We have happy flute and mama koala both from Amazon and we prefer mama koala ones. I did get the diaper sprayer that attaches to the toilet and will use that when we start solid food.

I use cloth and I don’t pre-wash because you don’t have to for breastfeed babies. If you use formula (or when you start solids) there’s an attachment you can get for your toilet to spray the poop off. It’s basically a bidet

When do things get easier?

As we entered the 9-12 month stage, my son started crawling and pulling himself up. He also became more clingy and does not play alone, still doesnt sleep through the night, and this week has been sick (so EVERYTHING amplified). I am tired and overwhelmed. Please lie and tell me things get better. 🥺

Colostrum storing?

Has anyone successfully extracted colostrum before the baby’s born? Apparently it gets produced from 16w pregnant and you can start storing it in the freezer but I’m 34w looking at my nipples and the syringes on amazon wondering how it works?? Like what did you use and did it hurt? 🥲

4 month bed time

What time do you put your babies to bed?
What time do you start your 'routine?'
My LO currently goes to bed around 10.30pm, and I know i need to start bringing it forward. Everytime ive tried, it takes longer for my LO to settle.
We are exclusively breastfeeding. Any advice Mamas?

Self settling

Any tips or advice of how to teach 6.5month old to self settle? I’m up multiple times in the night to cuddle her back to sleep and put the dummy in. I understand she will wake up and want a cuddle etc but any tips on self settling would be appreciated 🥰

Baby losing weight

Hi all, it's been a long time since I had a baby (my son is 15!). My daughter is 10 days old and was 9lb born, she has since lost weight at every appointment and is at a 12% loss. I am breast feeding every two hours for over an hour and topping her up every feed. I pump and can get 60ml in 10 minutes so I know my supply is okay. Anyone had this before? Can give me some tips? I currently feel like I'm letting my baby down.
