Hi mommas was wondering anyone’s thoughts on this. So I went to a friend of mine daughters 1st birthday party on the invite ( I have no clue where I put it) it said something along the lines of requesting no gifts and if you’d like you can contribute to her education and there was a link to donate she had a 529 account set up for school and you could give whatever amount u want. My husband liked that idea to do for our sons birthday party also because we are so over loaded with clothes and toys in our small space some clothes he couldn’t even get to wear because he grew out so fast wanted to know what’s everyone’s thoughts on it does it sound tacky or rude and how would you even word this on an invite so it doesn’t sound like we’re demanding u only give him money

You could also ask for gift of college gift cards. Then you can use it for that!
