Potty Training! 😱🚽🧻

Hi moms of 3 year olds! I haven’t posted on here in a while but I’ve become desperate for help and you ladies are always great with giving advice. Potty training is kicking my tail for my 3 yr old boy! Davey was peeing in his frog urinal and pooping in the potty at home occasionally. At daycare, he uses the potty (#1 & #2) most often but refuses to wear big boy underwear because when he’s playing outside he refuses to stop to use the potty. Now, he has stopped using potty at home all together and the big boy underwear are a big NO! Please send help! 😫 I’ve tried prizes but if I do that he will sit on potty and say he pooped and ask for a prize. If he doesn’t get one, he throws down. I’ve tried stickers, he could care less about those now. How do I outsmart my 3 year old? What advice do any of you have to get my 3 year old boy to go to potty and wear big boy underwear?

My kid refuses to use the potty too ☹️

Me too! He started out wonderful and so proud of himself until a few days in when he just refused and now he only potties for his auntie 😫

I’m not much help as we are slowly potty training our 3 year old and still have lots of accidents but maybe he’s just not ready right now. I would take a break for awhile to take the pressure off of him and revisit in a few months or when he seems ready to try again. It’s important that he sees it as a positive thing so if he’s not right now then I wouldn’t push it as it will make it even worse. Maybe try just being without underwear and see if that helps over time. I think putting the pressure on wearing underwear and using the potty can be a lot for them all at once. I would also be concerned about if he’s had a negative experience using the bathroom while at daycare that could cause him to regress and not want anything to do with it all together.

We did a potty chart system. Each square they fill up (5) potty trips then they get a reward

My son just turned 3 no talking just yet but doesn’t cue when he has to potty. We’re just working on sitting on the potty and being happy. He was having dry diapers after naptime which was when we started but now he’s having wet diapers after naptime so. We’re just taking it slow.

My boy was basically fully potty trained, then he got a rash down there. He has a speech delay, but he’ll say potty. Now I guess we are slowly potty training again. I am using treats like high key cookies for pee and zollipop for poops. In the beginning for my boy was completely naked for a lil while. It really worked for us, but you definitely need to prepare yourself to be inside.
