That's a "how long is a piece of string" question 😆 What sort of wedding are you going for? How many people? Where? We spent just under 30k in 2019. Now we've got kids that seems obscene to me but at the time it was fine and we got to do all the things we wanted. If I were doing it now it'd be much more pared back.

I spend 1.5k in total ..

@Caroline sort of wedding we aren’t sure yet but won’t be a massive one as we don’t have loads to invite.. was looking at a hotel wedding but I’ve seen they are quite expensive.. oh wowzer! We defo don’t have that kind of money with 2 kids already lol.. yeah if that’s what you wanted etc then why not.. xx

@Kelsey that’s not too bad. Where did you get married?

I spent $3,200 on my back yard wedding and everyone had an amazing time

I did a very small venue in dallas Tx for no more than 60 people in a strip mall. we had the vanue for 3 hours on a Thursday. Made all of our own food planned for 60 people had 30 show up because we did super last minute.. the venue was 500, came with 6 tables with linens and 60 chairs. The venue also had a sound system we hooked a Spotify sound track up to, and a circle arch. I did a balloon arch, and table runners and small center pieces. 1 6-inch cake ans 24 cupcakes, and had a friend officiate. My husband wore a suit he already had my dress was a 40 dollar stretchy maternity dress from amazon. I did my own makeup and my friend did ny hair.

Price is dependent on so many things!! We had a destination wedding in Mexico (2016) and spent about $7,000. That included everything even our 4 day stay at the resort.

About £4k in 2019 Registry office. 40 guests. Celebration at a hotel near by. Lots and lots of food and drink. Hotel did the decorations but I kept it minimal as it was a period venue which spoke for itself Mother in law did our wedding cake Our two day hotel stay was included I did the wedding favours myself I did all the music myself I didn't have lots of bridesmaids, just my sister as a maid of honor and my niece as a flower girl, I bought them dresses but they weren't typical bridesmaid dresses as I wanted things they could wear again I did my own make up https://www.hitched.co.uk/wedding-planning/organising-and-planning/ultimate-wedding-planning-guide/ Also their to do list is great but might include more than you want https://www.hitched.co.uk/planner/todo/

I had a very small wedding in Orlando FL. Just my parents, siblings, and his a total of 10 people, including my husband and I. But we still needed a decent wedding. Overall, around 6k. Dress, photography, hair and make up, florist for the church and my bouquet and my sisters bouquet, 2 nights at a resort, cake, dinner with the family. I mean things add up pretty fast.

2019, fairly traditional wedding on a Friday in August with 95 guests cost us £15k. That includes venue (ceremony, canapés, 3 course meal, evening buffet and dj until 3am) hotel, cars, dress, hair & makeup for everyone, dresses & suits for everyone, flowers, photographer & favours.

£6k for us too, small wedding of 12 people - parents, siblings (+ spouses and kids). We hosted in my parents garden, but got a caterer which was the biggest cost. Then hair, dress photography, flowers. M&S do a tiered "naked" cake that you can decorate yourself quite easily.

In 2019 we spend somewhere around 13k. We got married off season outside of a big city. I did a lot of work looking for cheaper vendors that would fit our needs. We had about 65 people including us and babies.

I regret spending so much on my wedding (30k). Wish I’d done something smaller with the people I actually cared about. Rather than feeling the need to do something big to make people happy that I haven’t seen since.

I spent around £350 on our wedding and some party bits and my in laws spent £2500 on the party 🙃
