Is anyone else afraid that they won’t be able to make it on their own? I’m living with my mom and have been since I was 6 months pregnant. My ex and I broke up around the time I was 4 months pregnant which is why I moved in with my mom for extra support. Looking at the price of rent , my car note, insurance and other bills just makes me anxious about living on my own with a toddler. I don’t work right now but it’s so hard to find a job that pays decent wage. I’m in school now in hopes that a degree will increase my chances of a job that pays well, but I’m just worried about something in the meantime. Life is so overwhelming.

Show your support

That sounds like a really tough spot. It makes sense that you’d feel scared and overwhelmed. Try and spend some time feeling compassion for yourself. And recognize, you’re already “making it.” It’s ok to get help. We weren’t meant to do this all alone. Then spend some time imagining what you want for your life, put your energy into that . If you want a job that pays well, maybe look at healthcare. There is so much need and it can be rewarding work. Much love.

It’s tough to be a single mom and you are so strong! ❤️ I relate to all you’ve expressed here and it’s totally ok to accept support while you find your feet. You’re working hard and will get where you’re going. Enjoy this special time with your toddler , you’re working at school and raising a child on your own. That’s very strong! 😊
