Small rant

I did the early blood testing on Monday and I am waiting for the results! They told me it takes around 2 weeks to get the results. Well, I decided I wanted to throw a TEENY TINY gender reveal so that I can let my family and my husband’s family know at the same time in a fun way. I planned it for the 14th of April (about 1 week after the results are supposed to come in) and my mom is having an absolute freaking cow. I work weekends and I am not able to get off before then and I don’t want to do it during the week because my in-laws work night shifts while everyone else works day and I am in college. She is blowing up my phone trying to convince me to tell her early or to move the reveal to an earlier date because “she can’t wait that long.” And “it’s a ridiculous amount of time to wait” she even keeps suggesting that she be the keeper of the gender even though she’s one of the people I was most excited to tell. I don’t have many friends or family, so I don’t want to ruin the fun for myself by doing it a time that not everyone can show up and it’s starting to really get under my skin that she’s making it so much about herself. Normally I don’t argue with my mom, so this is really frustrating. I was so excited to tell her, she’s making me not even want to tell her at all. I know she is just excited, but it’s really bothering me. I don’t want to wait that long either, but that’s the best time to do it. Why are people so hard to get along with 😩 Anyway, rants over! I’m so blessed I to even have people who care enough and it will blow over. I am so excited to find out!

It’s YOUR decision. I let myself get persuaded by my mom. I had my fiancé send her the results and she ruined the surprise for me. She needs to respect your wishes. It’s your baby.

Tell her you might not get the results in time to do it earlier 😝
