Wobbles
Is anyone else having major wobbles?
So today, we finally paid off our wedding, but I'm starting to have wobbles. What if it doesn't work out? Am I being stupid? His family has done sod all to help us make this happen, whereas my mum has gone above and beyond to make our day as easy as possible, up until today he has paid sod all for the wedding, he hasn't asked his brother to be his best man yet so it's felt so one sided. We've paid the wedding in full today with help from my mum, but I just feel sad that his family havent helped and dont help or have anything to do with my other kids so im having major wobbles.. anyone else having wobbles? Due to get married in 27 weeks.
I think it’s so lovely your mum has contributed to the wedding but its a lot rarer nowadays for families to, some people also feel the brides parents are the ones who should pay! His parents not contributing doesn’t say anything about how your marriage will be together, I also wouldn’t worry too much about the best man thing - I think the guys usually expect women to want to plan it all and they just show up 😂 if you’re only worried about the wedding planning and not actually concerned about your relationship then I really wouldn’t worry! Try have a conversation with him about how you want him to be a bit more involved with the planning but at the end of the day it’s not his fault his family aren’t contributing and not really there’s either (would be nice but can’t be expected) x
