Tesco Meatballs for Baby?

Can I give my baby 1 or 2 (cut up) meatballs from Tesco? I’m just worried about the salt but it’s classed as medium at 14%? I never know whether I can give baby any foods we have that include any salt at all ..

I made my own meatballs, can't remember the recipe but I'm assuming they had salt in and I gave my LG some

@Alisha so is it ok for them to have a little bit of salt if it’s already in food? I just never know whether it’s none at all! X

Yeah be fine, i would give 1 cut up and bulk out meal with veg, its a tiny amount of salt - and it’s impossible to cut out all salt and after 1 they can have a little bit more anyway, just be mindful of not adding extra/using stock cubes or giving anything with high salt content x

Yeah, you can't avoid salt at all just don't add additional, like if you're making a pasta sauce and the recipe says to add salt that's fine but when you serve it don't add more to babies

I think they've recently revised some of the guidance that salt in food like this is fine, but obviously no added salt. A little sodium is fine for baby so as long as you're not chucking in lots of salt then you're ok!
