Is it time to try small chunks of food?

Noticed over the last week my LO has really mastered his pincer grasp. He is loving cheese and can pick up grated pieces very easily. I have mainly fed him mashed and puree’d food but have started to offer finger foods every meal time now also. I’m honestly still very anxious about him choking especially on toast. Wondering would it be okay to offer small bits of toast as solid starts recommends from 9 months.

My LO loves toast. I squeeze it down so that it's really thin and squashed as I feel like the fluffier? (Can't think of the word) it is, the more likely she'd be to choke. I also sometimes just give her the crusts - toasted. When she first started she would gag a little - which is scary but it's just them getting used to swallowing new textures. Try not to give it in small pieces, and just allow your lo to feed themselves at their pace. Also offer sips of water between! Good luck 🤞🏽

Definitely, I'm sure they'll love it. I give them food finger sized and my LO choose the size of their bites

@Malika thank you so much! I’ll definitely try that, roll a piece with a rolling pin maybe 😂

Yes a rolling pin 🤣 I've lost all my words today 🤦🏽‍♀️ but you got the drift haha. You'll both be fine!! xx

Yes mine has been having toast since 6 months x

Warburtons milk loaf is nice and thin for toasting, mine loves it ☺️
