Fed the dog for the first time!

Just given my little girl some toast and butter for lunch, she normally drops bits and bobs so my dog is in food heaven, however she just held a bit of toast over the edge on purpose and my dog took it out of her hand (very gently!) I'd be lying if I didn't panic a little but was very proud of my dog for taking calmly, is this a bad habit? Should I avoid letting little one do this in future?😬

Following as have 2 dogs and this hasn’t happened yet but sure it will 🤣. I think I would try and stop my little one so it didn’t become a habit mainly my dogs are greedy and will want it all the time I don’t want it to become them taking food he has when not even offered 🤣🤣🤣

She is adorable btw 😍

@Emily this is what I'm worried about! My dog is just tall enough that if she cranes her neck she could take off the tray, she hasn't but I don't want to encourage bad habits for either of them 😅

I’ve been making my dogs sit in their beds while LO eats to hopefully avoid this 😂 they come out and clean up once she’s finished

@Helen wow your dogs are super well behaved! I think its the highlight of my dogs day hovering by the high chair, she wanted nothing to do with the baby when she was little but now she is always by her waiting for scraps/noggin and back scratches 🤣 still working on gentle hands for baby and no paws on playmats for pup😅

No they are idiots 😂 it took months of training them, I started while I was still pregnant putting them in while we were eating lol! They haven’t mastered no paws on the play mat and baby grabbed their ears the other day 😂 so we are gonna start with gentle hands now
