Mum guilt BLW

Does anyone else get major mum guilt around BLW? I see all these people making amazing meals for their babies and I just don’t have the energy most days 😔 it makes me feel so lazy because I really want to make healthy awesome foods but the most I have done is pancakes. Can anyone recommend any quick BLW ideas I can try? My little one loves holding and feeding fruit

Don’t feel guilty. Just remember social media isn’t real life and people are only posting the good parts. Just try to do a bit of your meals as long as you aren’t cooking with loads of salt / sugar. I’ve done chicken, pasta, tomato. Or you could do rice and a veg. Or a potato and veg. Frozen veg is fine and takes minutes to warm. Or if you have an air fryer roast something in that. Bit of toast with something on. Most of it doesn’t get eaten at this stage so I don’t go overboard. I just try to do something easy, or 1 item at least eg toast / fruit. Or just a bit of what we are having so I’m not making special meals all the time.

Honestly don’t feel guilty. I have spent ages making her meals for her to then turn her nose up or throw it on the floor. Fruit is great, frozen broccoli is an easy one, sweet potato wedges, pastry pinwheels are so easy to do, omelettes, veg fritters. Someone also posted on here yesterday roll ups using bread x

All BLW is great and all but surely the aim is to just get them eating what you’re eating, as long as you don’t use loads of sugar or salt. I don’t cook two separate meals as I don’t have time, my baby eats what we’re eating and that’s what she enjoys. Plus the amount of food she throws on the floor I think I’d cry if I spent ages cooking for her and she just threw it on the floor 😂

I also felt really overwhelmed with trying to find the time and energy for BLW- one of my best investments is a silicone 24 mini muffin tray- follow @yummy_little_belly on insta, she has loads of 3 ingredient ideas which are super quick and you can make in batch and freeze- it works so well for us. My freezer is absolutely full of different things now, just making a couple of new things a week when I have time to add to the collection xxx

I make these 1xgrated carrot, 1xgrated apple, mash a banana add 2 tbsp plain flour and put in muffin tray. Bake for 25 mins at 180 degrees. He loves them and they are healthy and quick! I also add a dash of cinnamon and a drop of vanilla essence.

Honestly pop me a message and I can send you across some recipes to try that takes a couple of minutes to prepare. Don’t feel guilty to not having the energy! I make loads of different things but it’s because I genuinely enjoy doing it as I like cooking anyway. But some days I have off days and make her freezer food, a balance is okay. As long as your little baba is being fed that’s all that matters xx

I’ve made very little that is specifically a baby recipe, but will try to give him what we have. Today for lunch he had scrambled eggs and some mushed baked beans, it doesn’t have to be complicated.
