My 3 year old son is constantly having loose stool and diarrhea. He'll have a solid poop once in a while but then goes right back. He only complains about stomach pain once in a while. Sometimes, he does have to poop, though most times, he just ends up having to fart. Per his pediatrician, we had to give him a probiotic with fiber packet in his water once a day for a month and to remove all dairy from his diet. Well, it didn't change, so the next step is to do an x-ray and see if there is a blockage that only lets loose stool through. If not, then the next step is a GI specialist. Can you have a food intolerance and not have stomach pain, just loose stool/diarrhea? If so, what are some possibilities?

Hey, not sure if it helps but my son was this way for a while. Then around 3-3.5 it was slightly less frequent to the point I didn’t notice. Then a couple months later daily stomach pains to find out it was severe constipation by x-rays, etc. Maybe try a tablespoon of miralax every other day for 2-3 weeks. And focus of getting lots of fluids daily. Fluids as close to 24+ ounces if possible. Hydration while on miralax is essential.
He also has lactose intolerance but we’ve known that since very early on.
