We’ve not set up our car seat yet as heard advice that you don’t want to risk a bump writing it off before it gets used which I totally get but when is a good time to put it in? 🤔 I also don’t want to leave it until the last minute!

We’ve been putting it in (with plastic covering it) whenever we’ve had our dog in the car so she can get used the car seat being in the car, other than that we will just have to ready to go with the hospital bags in the hall

I’m 35 weeks this week potential of early birth so it’s in the car now for practise aswell they are so fiddly x

We’re going to put the Isofix base in for now but keep the car seat in the house just incase of a bump!
that’s a really good idea, I didn’t think of that! We have an isofix base too so may do that so we can get it all set up but also won’t be as much money lost if we had to replace it

I’m 35 weeks today and we put ours in over the weekend just to be on the safe side

Also means we can still test out how to put the car seat in to get used to it but just means we wouldn’t have to replace the whole thing if anything did happen :) will most likely put it near the front door next to our hospital bags!

We set ours up yesterday and I am 35+5 today ☺️

With my first we didn't put it in the car until my husband came to pick me up from hospital, there's no massive rush to put it in I feel personally. Took less than 2 mins to fit when picked us up from hospital

We put ours in the day we came home with our son mainly due to the fact that we were getting a lift home as we only had a massive work van at the time and I couldn't get in it after my c section for a couple days 😂 this time around hoping to have a car sorted out (we've never needed more than the van as I dont drive) before baby arrives and will pop it in the morning of my c section

We’ve tested putting ours in but won’t put it back in until we are off to hospital for her to arrive. If we were in an accident we would need to replace it so if we don’t need it in there at the moment, I would rather not risk it!

We’ve put the Isofix base in this week but keeping the seat itself inside until we head for the hospital when I’m in labour x

I wont be until the baby comes out i wouldnt want to put it in and something happens its advised not to put them in until baby is born anyway
