Does white noise affect babies hearing?

I’ve been using white noise to settle down my 10 week baby when she gets too fussy from gas/tiredness and also for naps in the crib as she always wakes up otherwise. Problem is she only settles down with it when the volume is really high and close to her. Will this affect her hearing at all?
