Looking for some help, what does everyone use for potty trained kiddos when put and about? ( girls only as boys can pee standing )
My little girl is potty trained ( day time ) however she cannot hold her wee for long, we have one of those pop up travel potty’s that I had been using the end of last summer when we are out and about and she needed to wee, but reverted to a nappy once it got colder because I didn’t want to freeze her bottom off.
What does everyone else use to let their kid go potty when out and out?
Do I just let her have accidents until she builds up to being able to hold her wee?
Continue with the pop up travel potty?
I’ve found this wee thing on Amazon too, wondering if anyone else has used it?
Any help or ideas welcome.

This! It's brilliant, and I think it's an absolute must-have now I don't know how we would have done without it 😄

The legs fold out so it can be used on any toilet, and with the legs down as a freestanding potty, and it has disposable bags with an absorbent pad inside each one that soaks up the wee, so you just tie the bag and put it in a bin - so you don't have to carry around a potty full of wee or figure out how to clean it whilst out and about

Carry potty x

We just do a wild wee to be honest

when you say a wild wee, you mean just squat down and wee at the side of the street? ( not a judgemental question, genuinely curious as this was my mams solution too and I was thinking is that still allowed? Lol )

Thanks ladies; I have a carry potty but it’s so cumbersome when just out for a walk or going to the shops etc. trying to see other alternatives!

yea basically. If we go anywhere we do wees before we leave & when we get there. But if we are walking to nursery (5min walk) and she’s panicked she needs a wee, I take her bottoms down and hold her legs under her knees while lifting her up and take her to a side and she does a wee. We’ve done a few in parks etc too to be fair we aren’t often roaming around actual streets lol
Look at this age I wouldn’t care what anyone thought or said to me out and about. They are learning. My lg gas cracked it now do that’s v helpful but she still gets caught short occasionally like we all do 😁

we have this carry potty too for my little girl
Hardly used so far she prefers to hold it until we get home.

We have a ‘my carry potty’ which is the best thing I could’ve brought personally x

We do wild wees too!

I don't have girls but I have 2 boys my oldest 4.5 can't hold his poos long hes got chronic diarrhoea had it his whole life so we always have to have a potty with us even if it's just popping to the village shop which is like a 5-10 min walk depending on how slow they are. I have a urinal type one like that for wees too, they both love it and it's great but obviously can't comment on the girl version. I feel your pain about not wanting to take a cumbersome potty the only solution I have is I put it in a big reusable bag that I can put over my shoulder. My friend used to do wild wees with her girl my oldests age by holding her legs (one hand on each of her daughters thighs and she lent against her mum) in a sitting position and hovering her obviously only in places it was suitable xx

thanks so much!
I feel abit better about wild wees now ( or as me ma calls them ‘bush wee’ ) lol
I’m definitely going to do it this way, I feel if I constantly carry the potty she won’t learn to hold it and we will be carrying the potty for ages!

thanks for this, I would have followed Vickies way of holding her up, I wouldn’t have thought to balance her against me.

this is sort of what I meant too 😄 just not great at describing lol glad you’re feeling better about it Aimie. They are little and learning ❤️

thanks for responding. It’s always hard to know what other parents are doing with their littles xx

Another vote for the potette plus! Bagging up and binning is super handy out and about. Our son (almost 3) very happy to use it and we’re happy with it too
