Strong willed baby

Anyone else have a strong willed baby?

My baby can be very strong willed and I find it difficult sometimes. She will have a meltdown at the smallest things and if she doesn’t like/want to do something you know about it. The lungs on her!!!

My friends babies the same age are so chilled in comparison and I just find it hard to manage in certain situations. I know I shouldn’t worry what others think but I can’t help but feel sometimes they are like 😳

Even small things like today, we go for a walk and she’s due a nap but just fights it in the pram until she’s hysterical and I have to go home whilst the others stay.

I can’t even imagine toddlerhood at this rate!

My first was like this. Would forever show us up in public and hated being restricted in any way. Thankfully she's a lot better now and is really good. I was always wishing for a more content baby like the ones I'm always seeing in public, but was told that most that have babies like ours tend to keep it behind closed doors. That made me feel better about things 😂 It's embarrassing for us, but it's really good they're like this 😊

My girl is the exact same but I have to say she’s starting to become the best behaved girl recently lol x

My girl is the exact same, she knows her own mind like her mother 😂. It can be tough but she’s amazing, so full of personality and character. I just know she’s going to be full of sass when she’s older ❤️

She definitely has more personality and I love that - she’s so funny and charms everyone (if she’s not having a meltdown)
It’s just the other end of the scale I struggle with sometimes!

My son has recently started what my mum would call ‘paddying’. He stomps and kicks his feet and squeals when he doesn’t like something!

Yes he hates getting dressed so getting him out of the bath, a bib on before food or a coat on before he goes in a pram is a meltdown everytime, he tries to breakout of his pram before we are moving and he tries to climb his cot if I put him in it if he isn’t ready for a nap straight away 🙈

When do things get easier?

As we entered the 9-12 month stage, my son started crawling and pulling himself up. He also became more clingy and does not play alone, still doesnt sleep through the night, and this week has been sick (so EVERYTHING amplified). I am tired and overwhelmed. Please lie and tell me things get better. 🥺

He use to sleep through the night now he is waking up every single night in the early morning, I've had to transition him to a toodler bed as he kept climbing out his cot. Just need some advice on what I can do to help him get back in to a sleep pattern?

4 month bed time

What time do you put your babies to bed?
What time do you start your 'routine?'
My LO currently goes to bed around 10.30pm, and I know i need to start bringing it forward. Everytime ive tried, it takes longer for my LO to settle.
We are exclusively breastfeeding. Any advice Mamas?

6 month old autistism

My 6 month old makes no eye contact with me and doesn’t respond when I call him. Can this just be a phase or personality trait as apposed to autism

Colostrum storing?

Has anyone successfully extracted colostrum before the baby’s born? Apparently it gets produced from 16w pregnant and you can start storing it in the freezer but I’m 34w looking at my nipples and the syringes on amazon wondering how it works?? Like what did you use and did it hurt? 🥲

Baby with chronic congestion

Hi everyone! My 1 year has been a congested baby since birth almost. She breathes through her mouth so often that it wakes her up multiple times at night and she cries and screams and then struggles to go back to sleep. She wakes up every 1-3 hours and sometimes can’t go back to sleep for 2-3 hours!!! Piriton is the only thing that seems to help her sleep mostly through the night but I can’t keep giving her that!!
Does anyone have tips as to have I can do or give her? Has anyone experienced? I have no idea when I’ll get an ENT appointment and I have no idea what he can give a 13 mo :( we are desperate for sleep so any tips are welcome!! We have tried steam inhalation, saline drops, vapour rubs and everything off the counter basically!
