How do you cope with weekends? I dread them. There’s no break. He’s very high maintenance, refuses his pram, highly emotional, not good at playing independently, a bad sleeper. Every weekend I end up extremely stressed or wishing time away. I’m just a 💩 Mum for feeling like this.

I don't work and I feel like this most days especially the past month my mental health has suffered so much. My sons never slept through the night either in his life so it piles on. I know exactly how you feel , not 100% sure if it's normal but this has been the worst phase for us so far as he's just turned 2, not a lot of advice unfortunately just here to say I'm exactly the same some days , today has been really bad and I'm so ready for bedtime and the guilt cripples me 💔x

A lot more Tv that I would like and lots of outdoor play if the weather permits. Not much advice, just to say we’re in a similar boat.

I feel you, I find making plans like softplay or just going to the park or catching up with friends and other mums makes time fly

He sounds exactly like my son!! I find getting out the house the most helpful thing as it’s such a lot of hours to kill in the house with a toddler who won’t play independently! We go to groups or classes or to museums, the park, soft play etc.
Also is there anything you could use instead of a pram if he refuses it? My little boy stopped using his at 7 months as he absolutely refused and the screaming was too stressful for me, so we’ve experimented with different things. At the moment I use a back carrier or he has a scooter with a seat on and a handle I can push him along on. I know lots of toddlers like those trikes too x

It’s so so hard but the best thing you can do is work on the way you react to these things and accept these little people with big feelings and immature brains won’t always meet our adult expectations, I’ve found some accounts on ig which have really helped me in some difficult moments
