Hi all - since I’ve started feeling movements my baby girl has always had days where she is quite or her movements are more subtle and then other days she moves so much and so strong it takes my breath away.
Whenever I’ve wanted to go and get checked she starts moving again but this usually happens around once a week. Has anyone else experienced similar ?

I've been the same, she'll normally have a few more active days and then a couple/few quieter days, I've only gotten to the point of real concern once but I had an appointment anyway and she perked up just before I went in, typical 😅 I'm 35+5 and so far I haven't felt the need to call triage, I don't know if that's me being lucky or too relaxed 😅

I have been experiencing the exact same thing - I even called triage and the moment I was about to leave home the kicks were endless

I've been in twice. Both times we waited probably longer than they would like you to, just to make totally sure we weren't jumping the gun. The last time it got so bad I couldn't feel him at all, as if I wasn't pregnant. As soon as they put me on the monitor my stomach was jumping about like crazy. I was so embarrassed (after being relieved) but they were very, very kind about it all. What can you do? It's a huge amount of pressure to monitor your babies movements, you can only use your best judgement xxx
I agree it’s so much pressure and some babies clearly are more difficult than others and don’t have your “textbook movement” I’m exactly the same not knowing if I’m too relaxed or not but I’ve never felt an urgent need or worry when I tap into my “instinct”

You’ve described my babies movements perfectly too. I know this is my babies normal 😊
yeah I’m trying to reassure myself by saying it’s what’s normal for my bubba

For three weeks on the bounce I was at triage for reduced movement on a Saturday evening. My partner commented that he thinks it’s because I spend three days prior to this working on my feet and we’re probably both exhausted by this point! I’m not sure if medically your level of tiredness affects baby but I guess it would make sense x

Yeah! Stresses me out and when I think of going in, she moves.
so strange you say this as I notice for me it’s always on a Saturday/Sunday which are when I finally wind down for the week

Babies do this alot, my boy does!! I know his schedule (sad I know) so I give him a time limit if I ain't felt him by that time then I know something is wrong.
Drink a fizzy drink, or put something cold over your belly. I tend to be on my side as he hates that 🤣
If your ever on doubt go triage but it is normal. I think it's if you haven't felt from morning to like afternoon, there is an issue!
