1st birthday party timings?!

I’m currently organising my 10MOs 1st birthday party and I’m struggling with timings. At the moment she always has a later afternoon nap ranging around 2-3pm. What do people do for their first birthdays when the party is likely to be ongoing during their potential nap times 😂! We were thinking 1-4pm ish those sort of time frames. I can’t just put her for a nap during her own party can I?! Do I keep her up and let her maybe have a late evening nap that day as a one off as I highly doubt she’ll last from a morning nap until bed time 😂😂! What do people do?! Or are her nap times and wake windows likely to be quite different when she is turning 1?

We took a pack n play to my son's first birthday. He usually fell asleep around 2, so we planned his party to be from 12-3. He crashed at about 2:30 ish, this gave everyone plenty of time to visit with him, he fell asleep towards the end of the party so the adults could talk and bigger kids could play the games he couldn't. And since we had the pack n play, he could nap without us worrying one of the other kids would bother him or trip over him. Nor would I have to hold him the entire time when he got cranky. Obviously he still had a later nap, but I wasn't too worried since it was his birthday

We’ve gone with 2-4 as this is what other parents who’s parties we’ve been invited to have done 🤷🏼‍♀️

If she sleeps in the afternoon why not make it a morning party? Or does she still nap in the morning too? If so, why not plan it for the middle part when you know she’s awake x

I'm just jealous that all your babies nap 🙈🤣👀 We are lucky if our little boy manages to stay asleep for longer than 20 minutes at any point during the day 🤣🙈 I hadn't even considered nap times of the other babies who are coming so I'm genuinely so glad I've saw your post xxx where are you having it if you don't mind me asking, I've been looking at Soft play places but can't decide what to go for x

Do men really enjoy fellatio?

Been together more than 10 years, but it's been a while since he even seemed remotely interested in me getting on my knees, or vice versa so to speak. I think it was once last year. Must be something I am doing wrong 🤔. Generally everything else in that department is great and we have two young kids with no extra support, so it's quite surprising we can't keep our hands off each other but may need to try new things. It's basically 2 positions each time with some foreplay.

Naps

How is everyone doing for naps?

Little one is 9 months old and will have 2 half hour naps and one solid 1 hour - 2 hour nap a day

Then settles for night around 9pm. Wakes for a feed around 3:30 then sleeps until 6-7

Vanilla extract

Has anyone used alcohol free vanilla in their babies formal to help them drink?
I’m 100% sure my baby refuses her bottles as she doesn’t like the taste of it!

Just anxious to try it, don’t want her to get used to it and then refuse bottles again after two weeks of using (correct me if I’m wrong but I’ve read you use it for 2 weeks max)

Pumping advise

FTM to a 2 week old! I’m breastfeeding and then giving one formula bottle last in the evening before bed. I want to start expressing milk to give me some breathing room and also allow my partner to be more involved in feeding. I’m finding the idea of introducing pumping into my day quite overwhelming though. I don’t want to take milk away from my baby by pumping if he needs it during the day when being breastfeed.

Can anyone advise how I start pumping and when to do it? Thank you!

Sex post C section

Hi ladies I’m 4 weeks 5 days postpartum and I had a C section. I’m not bleeding properly anymore just some brownish discharge stuff that starts on and off. I’d like to do the deed with my partner; is it okay to do so or shall I wait the full 6 weeks. I feel up for it but also worried because the advice is 6-8 weeks.
