Help (fish almost thrown out) sensitive

Ok so idk where I can post this other than here so on Friday before easter my husband decided to buy fish tank an fish Didnt know you r suppose to wait 24hrs by instructions but actually wait like a week or 2 to get fish we had sucker catfish, catfish with white ends and telescope they all died around easter Sunday to Monday all the way thru Wednesday we let it built up bought new fish on Wednesday again suckerfish and 2 angelfish Sucker fish died today an our 2 angelfish r still surviving hopefully.. My husband has been complianing about how they stink he says they never stank when he was young but he doesnt want to put any more money into fish tank i told him do resurch first like you always do with your cars or equipment did he no I found out thru Google suckerfish may have been dieing bcuz of no heater I didnt know they needed one and I accidently left the damn deadfish in for a day or 2 as i was looking for something to grab the fish with as we didnt have the thingy to get thwm out. I also found out thru google that we need a damn gravel sucker to clean out the gravel. But today we literaly had a argument and i could not believe he was about to throw the innocent fish outside I put my foot down and could not watch him to do thank god he didnt but honestly what does that mean I have been with this man for 9yrs i begged for him to get a cat he said it was my responsibility and i take care of my cat he wanted fish i agreed with questionable face and in my mind said great another reason for him to get mad he was so happy to teach or 3yr old responsibility and does this shit she even said night night fishy n bye bye fishy and thank god he fucking listened to me and did not dump them out we still have the 2angelfish but i am still morbid and I dont know what to think at the moment and i have no one to talk to about this and I also cried is what made him stop
