Spotting early

My last pregnancy I spotted on my period due date, for maybe a week. And spotting kept coming and going till 10 weeks and I miscarried. I just used the toilet now and brown discharge / blood dropped in the toilet. But it is only when I am using the toilet, not exactly coming out into my knickers. Would you call this spotting ?

It sounds worrying for you. Maybe book a doctors appointment so the bleeding is recorded - so that if unfortunately it does end, you might receive more medical support next time? If you’re in the UK that is. Wishing you all the best x

I have a gynae appointment end of the month so maybe was thinking to tell them what’s happened, if this is a chemical pregnancy x

I experienced a missed miscarriage last year - I had some similar sounding bleeding to you now but then it stopped and I began spotting at 9weeks, which was when I had an early scan. This time, I had what was actually implantation bleeding, but made a doctors appointment so that this spotting would be recorded and recorded as a miscarriage if things ended. You’ll probably know best who to call, I’m not sure. My gp just said that I couldn’t have a scan until at least 6 weeks, and even then I couldn’t have a scan unless I was actually still bleeding at the time. The end of the month is a long time.. could you take the mental stress? Maybe chat to someone now, even if they do tell you it’s too early to tell anything? I would say do whatever you think will help you most/you’ll be able to deal with xxx

Thanks love. When did You have this implantation bleeding? I’ll will monitor the bleeding for next couple days. I’m off work on Thursday and Friday so thinking to make an appointment xx

This current pregnancy: I tested positive on a Poundland strip the Wednesday at 11/12dpo then had cramping and spotting (brown/pink blood) the next day, enough to fill a pantyliner even though I’d had a positive Clear Blue that morning. On 14dpo, the day I would have expected my period, the fresh spotting had stopped, just leaving old blood. The following Tuesday, 18dpo, I did a clear blue digital which said 2-3weeks. This was the day I rang and booked in with the gp. With my previous missed miscarriage (and I know you’ll have your own experience with previously losing one, I’m sorry), I had dark red/brown watery bleeding at 5/6 weeks for 1 day. On the scan at 9weeks, they could tell that this will have been the point that baby stopped growing but my body didn’t pass it. Glad you’ve got some days off work to look forward to - knowing that’s your chance to make an appointment might help you feel calmer maybe. It’s a horrible inbetween time. Thanks for sharing love. My period should be due tomorrow on a 31 day cycle so I’m hoping this spotting is just old blood My last pregnancy which I missed miscarried. I actually spotted through the whole thing! It really wasn’t an exciting time for me as I was so worried with the spotting. Early pregnancy unit saw me which confirmed a heart beat at Plus 6 weeks which we was so happy about. Started massively bleeding at 9 weeks 4 days which I went for a scan and saw the baby heart stopped at 8 weeks 3 days I hope this spotting stops which I am having now!!! Argh xxxx
