Hi Guys, my son is turning 4 this Friday. I wanted to asking it's still a thing for kids to bring something for their class mates? It's a very healthy school, doesn't allow chocolate or sweets in packed lunches. What would be an alternative? Thank you in advance.

Wasn’t a thing for us back in the 90s and I won’t be giving anything in when my daughter goes to school next year either never even heard of that 😅

We bring sweets in which seems to be the thing (I did ask). Although I didn’t realise that haribo has gelatine in so some pupils couldn’t have it. Also it’s now April so have kids been doing this in his class?

Our school doesn't allow sweets or chocolate in lunches but when it's a birthday you can send sweets in but they must be in original outer packaging so they can check for allergens...best check with the schools policy but I imagine it should be fine to send something in that is packaged:)

At my son's nursery they often bring a shop bought cake so the ingredients can be verified.

Most bring sweets

We do sweets - as they’re are less allergens
Also we have done stickers before too
