One week before my due date

Due on the August 4th, maternity starts June 12th

I was thinking 2 weekend before my due date but nothing confirmed yet

I'm self employed so I'm thinking I might start slowing my work down a few weeks before and then not taking on any work at all within the 2 weeks prior to the due date.

@Samia wow that’s so close to your due date. That’s what I’d like to do to 😊 I’m already walking around in pain with my back and hips though! X

Planning to stop working about 3 weeks before due date. I know some people prefer to work up closer to due date but I just want the time to be able to get organised and prepare and RELAX before she gets here 😂

1 week before. I'd love to start earlier but I'm a freelancer and in the middle of a dry spell, so I need to find whatever work I can until then so that I can take more than 2 months maternity. I had 14 months with my first one (thanks to Covid), so it doesn't feel fair to have at least 6 months if possible

I started mine 4 weeks before my due date so that I could have a rest before our arrival

At the 11th Hour

Im suffering alot of back and hip pain and do a pretty physical job so I am expecting to take a sick leave probably at the beginning of May and than stay off until I start a “maternity leave” in the beginning of august

I’m hoping to start a month before to make sure I’ve got time to get everything sorted in the house and as others said to have a bit of a rest before I have been saving up some annual leave to use towards the start though too

I'm suffering with my ankles as I walk to work n bk 60 mins each day then work standing up ,so I'm taking my maternity leave 15th of June I'm gunna rest and enjoy my life 🤣

I'm self-employed, so I'll be working right up until either I can't physically or I go into labor, whichever comes first.

Due 12th August so planning to start maternity at the end of July x

I'm in Ireland so it's 2 weeks before the due date typically, unless you go earlier for health & safety reasons. I'm due August 11th so I'll finish up on July 26th. A colleague that had her baby before Christmas went into labour 3 weeks before her due date, so hadn't even started hers 😬

I'm planning on taking 4 weeks annual leave and then starting my maternity leave on my due date 🤞 (unless bub decides to come early) from speaking to people I know 36/37 seems to be standard

@Georgia yeah I was thinking of the same thing x

Hoping to start my leave at 36/37 weeks unless otherwise needed to earlier.

@Sammi I’m doing this too… stressful job and just want to BREATHE before birth
