2.5 year old still eating non food things

I’m getting concerned with my daughter eating things that are not food. She still puts things in her mouth and eats things she is not supposed to eat now that she is into everything she has gotten a few mild cleaning things. Today she ate chalk and slime. I just can’t keep her from not doing it. When I see her and say no she eats it faster so I can’t see how much she got too. It’s freaking me out. I’m 9 months pregnant too so I’m just exhausted trying to chase after her. Anyone else experiencing this or have any tips to help stop this behavior. I’ve tried explaining to her that she can’t eat things I don’t give her as food or these things can make her sick or tummy hurt. Doesn’t help. Any advice please!!?

My daughter likes to eat chalk and put metal in her mouth🙄 at this point I’ve just let her play with blocks puzzles and stuffed toys. She still puts the puzzle pieces in her mouth but it’s not as much. I’ve taken everything else away and kept it out of reach and only give her the chalk or whatever when I’m in her face. Good luck love.

My 4 year old still eats non food things…. His biggest thing is paper. But he’ll sit there and chew on anything he can get his hands on.

I'd definitely make an appointment, can't hurt and it could be Pica.. sounds like it isn't exploring at this point since she's hiding it. My kids occasionally put stuff in their mouths still but usually end up pretty dissatisfied or upset with their decision.
