Potty / toilet seat question

Anyone here directly started training their child on a toilet seat rather than a potty? How did you go about it? We have bought a potty but she doesn’t show any interest. However she’s very interested to see me going to the toilet for a wee. I’m wondering if I should get a toilet seat for her instead. Any suggestions?

We skipped the potty & went straight to the toilet for the same reason you mentioned. I would get one with handles & a step so they can independently climb on

I got a toilet seat for my son as I didn't want the hassle of emptying a potty. It went well. He loved going to the toilet, using the toilet roll, and flushing - the whole process. We are in our second week and pretty much zero accidents. I got a toilet seat with handles. So he can hold it while on the seat.

My daughter kinda chose to start going to the toilet herself after watching me too. I had bought a potty for her but she seemed a little scared of it. So I got her a step up seat that she can get on and off herself (from Amazon) and has been using that ever since. I do think nursery helped with that though, she’d see all the other children go to the toilet so she just took an interest in that instead.
