Biting while breastfeeding

I know the simple answer is “oh just switch to a bottle” but that will not always work. We have EBF the whole 10 months. She took bottles in the beginning but hasn’t since she was 4 months old. I’ve tried consistently to give her a pacifier but she has also not been interested in those. What can I do? Do nipple shields work? Which one is better? Any other suggestions? She doesn’t always bite but when she does it’s only on the right side.

Pull your nipple out of her mouth every time she does. It’ll eventually click. My LO does it to mamas; all babies do. They’re learning they have teeth

What worked for us was ending the nursing session when he would bite. Only took a couple days until he stopped

I scream when mine bites (in pain of course) and he gets scared. I tell him no and he seems to understand lol that has worked for me. He bites once in a great while when he is teething, so I do the same thing and he never does it again. Good luck ☹️I know it’s painful

Thank y’all 🩷
