Breastfeeding

Hi ladies! My LO is 10 weeks old and I feed him with formula. Is it too late to breastfeed? I still have some milk coming out.

I don't think so. It doesn't hurt to try. If he doesn't latch you could try pumping and feeding pumped milk.

Even if your mild had dried up, you can still try relactation. I’d definitely give it a go if you’d like to! Maybe contact your health visitor for some guidance?

I think its worth to try however you may struggle initially .

It's not too late. You both need to learn a good latch. You will likely have to cluster feed or pump (or even both) so that you produce enough milk for your LO. Might have to top up with formula along the way. Contact your health visitor. They are all trained in breastfeeding questions and advice.

It’s possible, but try to keep your expectations realistic - it’s unlikely you’ll get to exclusively breastfeeding 10 weeks pp, but you might be able to get to a chunky level of combo feeding. You’ll need to be feeding and pumping at least every hour or two, and you’ll need to do it with help from the HV or IBCLC as you transition. Good luck mama :)

Hey please share your experience, I’m also looking to start BF or atleast expressing for my LO x
