Booking appointment

I didn’t even get offered a folder to keep my notes in! I thought they didn’t do them anymore! She handed me a little bounty folder with leaflets and things in. But no folder. Xx

@Sarah in my area it's usually a zipped folder bright coloured with important maternity numbers on and other bits written on.

Second baby for me also, I've had my 1st midwife appointment, and I've got my 2nd one booked in for the 1st June, she did say after that it will be a while before my next appointment because it's my second baby...I can't remember how many weeks she said though x

I don’t even get paper notes this time, it’s all on an app now which feels so weird. In my first pregnancy I had so many bits of paper to cart around and this time there’s nothing! My next midwife appointment is at 16 weeks, so 28 weeks does feel like it’s a bit far away. Maybe give them a ring and see if that’s right?

I had my first midwife appointment on Monday. I didn’t get notes at all; it’s now all online on an app. My next appt is on the 3rd June and I’ll be 16 weeks x

Same happened to me I was sent to the hospital for my bloods because she couldn't get any. I was given a piece of paper with numbers on for emergencies and that's it

I didn’t get given any paperwork. But no mine said she’ll be seeing me again at I think it was 15 weeks. 🤔

But it’s my first baby ever , so maybe that’s why?

I got a bounty wallet in my first pregnancy but no folder this time x

I was given a folder with loads of paperwork and info and it’s my first pregnancy. I have to see her again at 16 weeks but I guess it changes everywhere

Yeah was hard to get blood she said I was probably dehydrated. Yeah next one 28 weeks seems ages away!! X

You should be seen at 16 weeks. Even with it being your second baby. The additional appointments you get with the first baby are 25 and 31 weeks so it seems a very long time between booking and 28 weeks to not be seen

Hi it was my first booking appointment too and ima second time mum as well! So Heyy mama we in the same boat 😊 I had a pregnancy small card looking card folder to put the midwife’s notes in. I am also one of those they can never find blood and it’s my phobia because of it! however my midwife was lovely and chatty. Feel free to contact the midwives team and ask if u would like another midwife but I know midwife’s are very busy and rundown but that shouldn’t have been ur experience so sorry u had that experience xx hope the next one is much better!

I am in Scotland, second baby too. All our notes are kept in an app. This was the same for the July 2021 baby. I had my booking appointment last week and I am seeing her again on the 23rd may. I think that's about 16ish weeks. (Due 6th November)
