Help

I’m so tired and my little girl HAS to be touching me to go to sleep and if she isn’t touching me she starts to scream/cry as if she’s all alone unless she’s touching me. I just need her to sleep for an hour WITHOUT touching me. Help

My first thought is try and incorporate a lovey. Snuggle with said lovey for a few nights so it smells like you. Then every time it's time for a nap or bed time. Put the lovey in-between you and your daughter. She may start hold it if your not there. Best of luck

I did something unconventional and I moved my son to a toddler bed at 8 months with a bumper. It’s his best cuddle buddy. I’ve tried many items that smelt like me, the calming otter, magnesium, etc. I hope you find something that works for you too!

I’m struggling with this exact thing right now and going crazy!! Know you’re not alone. If something works for me, I’ll share 💖

Going through this right now too

I'm going through this too you are not alone I hope we find solutions soon

Update! My girl is 8.5 months and always feeds to sleep then has to contact nap and sleep. The day before this post (5days ago) I started slipping the pacifier into her mouth when she’s just about asleep (but not quite out). After seeing this post and an above comment, I decided to add a lightly weighted stuffed animal to her nap/bedtime routine. She only gets the stuffie during the routine and I do let her play a little before I start feeding her for sleep. But I always put the stuff against her cheek and have her hold its paws instead of my hand. WELL!!!! Tonight (again 5th night since doing anything) she totally fell asleep with just her pacifier and her stuffie!!! I was then able to transfer her to the crib for few minutes (that’s fine with me!!) and then she woke from tooth pain so I took her. She’s laying beside me in our bed, she started waking up and then hugged the stuffie and went BACK TO SLEEP. Yall! This is the first time she shut her eyes without my intervention!

Sorry for rambling. But anyways! It’s not been too much work on my part, but seems to be making a difference. I have worked HARD to ensure our routines have been super consistent for all naps and bedtime. Seems to make a huge difference for her. All this to say, go get a stuffie!!!

@Madeline that’s awesome!! I’m definitely going to try the stuffy suggestion. I’ve tried so many different things I’m still going nuts!
