6w2d ultrasound
this looks completely different than my last pregnancy (ended in a miscarriage) last time it was just a blob on the screen this baby seems to have a circle around never had one like this and my hcg is threw the roof this time does this look like a normal ultrasound for 6 weeks?

They look about the same, just could be sitting in different places, “the circle” you’re referring too is called the yolk sac sometimes it’s visible and sometimes not but looks very good! Congratulations
my last pregnancy never showed one at all and the baby was that small at 8 weeks this one’s bigger at 6 weeks
there was no second baby
It’s the yolk sac which is a really good sign that baby is getting the nutrients they need :) i saw it during my early ultrasound too
thank you that’s exactly what i needed bc of my condition previous pregnancies failed around 8 weeks due to no yolk sac and no nutrition thankfully i’m on a methyl folate supplement now, seems to working!
Very normal. It’s what’s feeding your baby. It’s the yolk sac. Your other pregnancy image it might just have been positioned differently x
Were you able to hear a heartbeat during the ultrasound? Asking because I’m going in for an ultrasound in between weeks 6 and 7 and was wondering what to expect. And congrats!
yes baby’s heart rate was 117
