Early Labour pains

Is early labour pains meant to be this painful? I just sobbed all the way home from the hospital because the midwife told me to just stay at home and take paracetamol but I’m in such agony but the contractions are not regular so I completely understand BUT oh wow! They’re painful!! 😣

I’m having this atm been having this for the past couple weeks was told it is very early labour but keep being told to go back home as not started dilating properly x

In my opinion I think if used to period cramps then its a familiar sort of pain so may be easier to manage because prelabour pain are similar in nature to period cramps. If never gotten a period cramp or rarely get one so not used used to period cramps then it can feel awfulllll for first time.

When this happened to me I kept going back to triage and then I had her early hours the next morning. xx

I had the same and it was agonising! I found sitting in a bath of warm water helped with the pain and gave me some respite

Scan needed at 33 weeks

Hi ladies! I just had a midwife appointment (I am 33+5)..the midwife was different to my usual midwife. She's requested I have a scan within 72 hours as she said baby is measuring a little small, however, she did say that it's likely nothing to worry about and it's probably just her measuring me a bit different to my usual midwife. Has anyone else had this? Am a bit worried although babys heartbeat and movements are completely fine.

Finding out gender

Has anyone found out the gender at a private scan at 14 weeks? And has this been accurate?

I found out at 17 with my first but I know a scan place that offers from 14/15 weeks and I’m impatient 😂🥲

Rolling milestone at 5 months - What’s typical ?

Good morning ladies,

My daughter will be 5 months old tomorrow, but there’s still no sign of her rolling. She does tummy time and loves lying on her mat, playing with hanging toys above her and to the sides, but she only lifts her legs and doesn’t seem interested in rolling or moving sideways yet.

Anyone else the same or have your babies already learnt how to roll yet ?

Thank you
