Midwife says I don't need 28 week bloods?

This is my 5th pregnancy and never heard this before? I had booking bloods but at my 28 week appt she said I don't need bloods done because I had the GTT test where they test your iron levels too and my iron levels were fine. I thought they tested for more than just your iron levels? Does this sound right? Anyone else had a GTT qnd been told they don't need anymore bloods now?

I don't think that's right? I'd call your hospital and ask for advice on that one

From my results I think they tested about 3 things at 28 week bloods

When I had my GTT test they also took full blood count which was my 28 weeks bloods. Maybe ask if they did a FBC at the same time x

I refused the GTT so my midwife said I would have to have bloods instead, so that sounds to me as though it's one or the other now.

I had my GTT at 25 weeks and other bloods taken at the 28 week appointment.

I would definitely double check if they took other bloods during your GTT x

I just had my 28 week midwife appointment and I didn’t get asked to do any bloods? This is my first pregnancy and I’m confused now if I should be getting some done? I had a glucose test where they did my bloods but that was a fair few weeks ago now!!

That is correct. They probably did all of the bloods at your GTT. They do a full blood count (which checks your iron) and check your blood group + any antibodies.

Thanks everyone I'll ask at My next appt. Its only strange because my last baby I had a GTT Test with too and still had to have bloods at 28 weeks? Either way I'm not complaining lol x

Anyone else felt like this?

Hi, I’m 4 months postpartum, little one sleeps through the night and is formula fed, the last week I’ve felt extremely tired and very hungry! Just wondered if anyone else has felt this way/experienced this?

Fed up

Anyone else just feeling fed up in general? I just never feel happy anymore. Wake up dreading what the day ahead of us will be like.

32 weeks

32 week growth scan and clinic appointment. Did anything unusual happen? Ive heard a few people saying 32 weeks was when they had a induction date

Early waters/pre term labour?

I can’t get checked until later today unfortunately. I can’t tell if I’m leaking/starting early. I definitely think I’m having braxton hicks yesterday and today.. i have some pain in my back but she is quite low down so hoping it’s just pressure, baby was a little quieter yesterday but she’s back to more normal movements today, but my underwear just seems to get so wet, especially after going to the bathroom. And I honestly can’t work out the smell, I’m pretty sure it’s just discharge/urine leaking but there’s that worry in my mind a little. Are there any other ways to know/check if it could be the start of it all?
