Sleep!

How was everyone's night? My 12 week old boy has been a pretty good sleeper so far and been doing around a 5-6 hour chunk at the start of the night for a while now. But tonight he's woken every 2 hours at 1am, 3am, 5am and cried a bit which is unlike him. At first I thought he had wind but I fed him each time he woke up. I'm hoping it's just a random bad night! Or do you think this is the start of the dreaded sleep regression?! 😴

Just woken up and had exactly the same night 🫠 although this has been going on since Saturday 🫤

Is there a sleep regression support group?! We’re 14weeks old and now liking to wake every 15-30 mins from midnight to 6am. It’s FAB!!

Last night was wild. 13 weeks today! Started a few days ago, teeny tiny naps and progressively shorter gaps of waking at night!

There must be something in the air as seen a few posts like this. Or maybe sleep changes again from around this age! Woke up at 7 too, mad how exact it was with every 2 hours on the dot. Every half an hour sounds tough! Hope everyone is OK today!

We also had a terrible night... he barely slept anything during the day either... :/

We also had a terrible night. Woke up only 3 or 4 times normally only once for a feed but the struggle to settle! He would wake for about an hour and sleep for an hour. Even naps are hard work the last 2 days!! 😫 definatly think it's sleep regression!! Hopefully it doesn't last too long! Us mummas need 😴

Same 🥱🫣

@Kelly it’s hell isn’t it? I’m going to try dropping a nap today, just in case it’s being compounded by under tiredness!!

My little one just started sleeping through 8-6am about 3 weeks ago after waking one of twice for feeds during the night since birth. However literally the last two nights feels like shes waking every couple of hours. She's 16 weeks Friday.....I am thinking this is the start of the 4 month sleep regression 🤨

@Claire I’ve got no chance dropping a nap - he’s barely making it to his normal first nap time because he’s been up so much in the night! It’s a vicious cycle at the moment 😅

@Lucy ugh it’s just not fun. I mean this dropping a nap could backfire! But she’s on 5 atm, so probably due to do 4 anyway!

Anyone know how long the 4m sleep regression lasts lol

I’m not starting to think this is a growth spurt and cluster feeding

Same as the last two nights....Unsettled and feels like we have gone back to how it was the first couple of months. She also doesn't sound like she's managing to fall into a proper sleep either like she's fighting the sleep 🙈 I understand why people said don't worry to much about day routines in the first 4 or 5months.

@Claire . how did you get on dropping the nap? My little one decided he didn't want to sleep the last 2 evenings and it's been hell during the night, apparently could be overtired so perservered got him to sleep for half an hour at 5pm and he was still good going to bed. Let's see how this goes!

How’s everyone getting on? I’m starting to think it might have been a growth spurt as it was about 72 really tough hours, but it feels a little more settled again now?

@Kelly so, it doesn’t seem to have had a negative effect! But hard to say if it’s been hugely positive!! I had to rescue some naps yesterday as she was only cat napping but the last nap of the day has been easier now we are on 4!

@Lucy I think it was a growth spurt as last night was better. More like every 3 hours wake up!
