I started off slow so I wouldn’t cause any negative associations with his room/crib. First we just started spending more time in his room playing and reading books, hanging out. I would also put him in the crib without any intentions of leaving him in there, and when he wanted out I picked up and praised him. Then when it felt right I started laying him down in it for naps during the day. I have a rocking chair in his room that I use to rock him to sleep and then carefully transferred him lol. And again when I felt comfortable with it we started putting him to bed at night in it, rocking him to sleep and then transferring him. At first he would wake up in a panic and wouldn’t settle back down so I’d bring him bed for the rest of the night but eventually he started feeling more comfortable and when he’d wake up I could settle him again and put him back in the crib. Now he sleeps through the night and only wakes up when he’s hungry or wants a quick cuddle lol

Floor bed. We realized it wasn’t working in a crib because she didn’t like feeling trapped in there. We started with just putting the crib mattress on the floor and laying her down asleep. She wakes up a lot still but is slowly starting to settle herself back down. I have no idea how we’ll get her falling asleep on her own yet…
