Go outside

That’s the advice I read on Reddit once on how to survive with a high energy toddler. I used to roll my eyes. But I tried it and it worked. lol we started going for a walk every morning straight after breakfast. He now eats his lunch no fight and goes down for a solid 2 + hour nap. And sleeps better at night. Obviously not everyone lives in a warm climate where they can go outside everyday. But this has worked for both of us. So I wanted to share my experience.

Thanks for sharing, im going thru something similarly

Being outside has been my biggest tool since my LG was a newborn lol! I live in TX so I have to strategic during the summer but it’s a game changer! When she’s in a crummy mood that’s my sign we’ve been inside to long

Ughhh we were in florida in February and march with my 2 year-old and it was the BEST! We were out everyday and this kid slept amazing. I felt like he progressed soo much, even in his speech. Since being back its been so hard 😢😢 (canada) We want to move to florida lol I hate having to change our plans on the weather 🤦‍♀️

Oh yeah I totally agree with this advice! Getting outside usually guaranteed my toddler a nap and hungry for lunch!

We try to take our little boy out as much as possible as well as we find that on the days that we stay in, he doesn't nap during the day, but if we take him out & he gets rid of all his energy, he will have an afternoon nap.

@Sarah well in FL, you can't go outside without having a heatstroke from July to September lol. We do not go outside during those months hardly 😅

@Jessica haha yes! I would die forsure! 🥵 was just saying that to my husband haha we need a 4 month there - 8 month here split. 😂

Even a stroller walk in the morning during the worst of the winter makes so much of a difference in my toddlers attitude and nighttime sleep. Fresh air is magical.

100%. If my toddler gets outside at least once a day - both of our days gets tremendously better!

Couldn't agree more! Rain or shine
