Breast pump

I was going to wait until baby was here and ensure I could breastfeed before getting a pump, however the baby sale event is on in boots and there are some with some good discounts! I have no idea which pump to get though! Can anyone recommend from previous experience which pumps are good? Looking for a hands free electrical pump. Not even sure whether to go for double or single? Any recommendations?

I personally just used pipetta & Bella baby for when I went back to work with my first last year and both worked brilliantly & were really affordable although I hated pumping😂 You don’t need to spend £100’s. I used these everyday for 6 months alongside breastfeeding and they were perfectly fine x

I had the medela swing flex single with my first, loooved it, this time I got the swing flex double and intend to use it with a pumping bra for when I want it to be hands free. I think Medela also have a hands free one that sits in your bra similar to the Elvie, those portable ones are costly though but if you wanna pay the price, definitely Medela or Elvie I'd say. (Btw the Medela swing flex double I got for around £100 on a sale at Medela's website)

I've done loads of research into hands free portable pumps (that sit in your bra) and like Nour says, Medela and Elvie come out top. The Medela is £299 but I found one on Vinted that was practically brand new for £120.

I have the elvie stride and loved it. Tried so many beforehand and they all tore me to shreds. It's also easy to get a range of flanges for it, and the silicone parts on amazon if you're pumping quite a bit. You can also connect it to other motors like the spectra S1 (tbh that's more the territory of exclusive pumping 🤣).
