Twin bed better than toddler bed?

When my daughter turned 2 we set up her toddler bed, but she didn't take the transition well. She was also getting used to having a sibling, so might have been a lot of change for her at once. She's been sleeping in my bed ever since. However, I seem to be reading a lot that kids seem to handle the twin bed better? Should we try a twin instead of the toddler bed? Tell me your experiences.

My toddler is in a toddler bed and I just purchased her a twin bed I have 3 u see 3 so she saw her brother who is 3 get a big boy room and has been asking for a big bed so I did that … we’re doing a bohemian theme and she very exited I can wait till I’m done she does sleep well in her bed and somethings she will get out but u just cuddle her for a bit then put her back in her room my daughter is also 2 and to help with the transition I set a bed time ritual so every night we do the same thing Goni her room read a book turn on her sound machine say prayers repetition has definitely helped

@Dayna yeah I guess I just need to get back on it!

I plan on keeping my 2 year old in the crib until he starts climbing out. He loves his crib. He has a convertible crib so it’ll turn into a little bed for him when he’s ready

I chose a twin over a toddler bed because they eventually grow out of a toddler bed quicker than a twin. Also if there are nights they need you in the room for a bit you can sleep next to them on the twin. I do this sometimes. Also I put the mattress in my sons room to show him it while he was still in the crib. He played on the mattress and got excited for it and chose to transition himself. This helped him a lot.

@Ulia ours can turn into a twin from a toddler bed, so it will be an easy switch. Thanks for the ideas! Will definitely try them out!
